WNC – Councillor vacancy follows resignation
West Northamptonshire Council has today notified the public about a councillor vacancy in its Hackleton and Roade ward area following the resignation of Cllr Adam Smith (Independent).

The Council has published a Notice of Casual Vacancy and, if the seat is contested, a by-election is expected to take place on Thursday, 7 May.
Adam Smith was originally elected as a councillor in May 2025. The vacant seat is one of two West Northamptonshire council seats covering Hackleton and Roade ward, which also covers areas including Stoke Bruerne, Blisworth, Hartwell and Milton Malsor.
