Do you have a memory of Queen Elizabeth II? Local people, communities and organisations are being invited to share their memories and stories for a special project.

The Queen Elizabeth Digital Memorial is a new website set-up to map the key moments in the life and reign of Britain’s longest serving monarch, as a permanent record for future generations.
Lord Lieutenant of Northamptonshire, James Saunders Watson – who is the monarch’s representative in the county, said: “During the 70-plus years Queen Elizabeth reigned she met and touched the lives of thousands of people across the globe. If you or your community have a memory of Queen Elizabeth, please share it via the Queen Elizabeth Digital Memorial website.
You don’t need to have met the Queen to share a memory to the digital memorial. You can share any memory you have, for example, watching Queen Elizabeth on TV, or something that happened in your local area.
Every memory submitted makes the memorial richer and more representative of Queen Elizabeth’s global legacy — and helps create a unique historic record preserved for future generations.”
You can support the digital memorial in three ways:
- Directly share your memories of Queen Elizabeth and become part of a living history archive
- Encourage your networks to share and map their memories of Queen Elizabeth via the website
- Host an online or in-person gathering where people can share their memories together and capture these so they can be submitted to the website.
Submit your memories on the Queen Elizabeth website.
